Ah geez. It's hard to celebrate daily life when so many parts of it are flanked by the Haitian earthquake tragedy.

We were excited to celebrate Christoph Waltz's win:

And the nomination of Jimmy's ne'er-to-be-born sibling's namesake, Daniel Day- Wenzel Lewis.

We also celebrated fellow Southern Mainahs:

Anna Kendrick of Up in the Air and of the high school I hated many times,

and Glenn Close and her labby hubby.

We also luv'd watching Martin Scorsese being honored, and look forward to the OSCARS. =D

Yet, there is still the Haitan tragedy. Maya Angelou said it all: "I did then what I knew how to do. Now that I know better, I do better." Now that we know five dollars helps lives , we know our options.
